Spiritual and Physical, Mental and Matter — Quotes to Inspire and Motivate
“Choosing to begin each morning in a gloriously extraordinary manner paves the way for the same the rest of the day.”
(A suggestion I have given to clients over the years is to write out each of the following quotes on a 3 x 5 index card and place them in a box. I’m a big believer in the power of writing. The physical act of writing connects intimately with the mind, allowing the words to be internalized more deeply. Each morning as soon as you wake up before looking at your phone, listening to the news, or talking to anyone and each evening right before you head off to bed, randomly pick a card, read it 3 times, close your eyes and feel what it means to you and how you can implement and take action to reflect the meaning of each quote. Of course, during your journaling time, you can also choose to write down the quote several times in your journal and then spend a few moments in reflection, which will have additional positive effects. Also feel free to add more quotes you find meaningful.)

Taking our goals and dipping them into thoughts and feelings of already experiencing them now with intense gratitude has been shown for decades to create what appears to be magical in our lives. This takes us out of a place of lack. The feeling we have, that peace of mind we possess, generates and releases a level of energy that is far different from one that is scared and worried from hoping and wondering if it’ll ever come.
Feeling grateful for what we have now, how we feel now, what we’re doing now when we really aren’t, is not going to perpetuate the current circumstances, especially if we are not where we really want to be. On the contrary, by exuding gratitude for everything that is our life right now, we attract from the universe, more to be grateful for and each subsequent situation is upgraded. It is the feeling combined with strong emotion that the universe uses to determine what to give us, not so much the material thing or event itself. This is how the universe works according to natural laws.
In Working With the Law (Raymond Holliwell), Holliwell states that even if we are at a job we don’t like and we’re hoping to get a different one, by doing the current job the best we can while simultaneously visualizing and imagining with feeling our desired outcome, we create 2 positive emotions — by doing the best we can now with a positive attitude combined with behaving and carrying on as if we were already doing what we’d rather do, we are adequately preparing ourselves vibrationally to receive the upgrade from the universe. At first, even my own eyes rolled with some skepticism until I read countless documented testimonials of success stories from actual clients Holliwell mentored.
Neville Goddard (Power of Awareness, Feeling is the Secret) shared his Law of Assumption, which in effect, is saying the same thing. If we act and feel as if we assumed we already have what we wanted spiritually, it will manifest in the physical world inevitably. So, really, if we yearn for a life of freedom and abundance, because our definition as such has not been fulfilled, we are to behave in a grateful manner and act as though we are already living the life we desire. Since the body cannot tell if what the mind thinks is the truth or a lie, it will produce energy reflective of having the wish fulfilled. Goddard also recommends that taking a few minutes throughout the day to relax the body and do this visualization and imagination work with as much emotion and feeling as possible are essential for manifestation to work.
“What you seek is seeking you.” (Rumi)
Much of the literature written on the Laws of Vibration and Attraction centers upon the concept that whatever we truly and strongly desire is literally already here. We just cannot detect it with our 5 senses because our energetic vibration is not in alignment with it. Thoughts of positivity and gratitude, feelings of joy and appreciation for what is in the present moment generate vibrations at the higher frequency range, which gets us closer to coming into physical contact with goals to which we are committed.
My Daily Schedule — Reality Check
These days, my alarm is set to play this gentle morning sunrise theme at 5:30 am. It used to be set at 5:08 am and before that, at 5:00 am. Ideally, waking up right before or as the alarm goes off without snoozing is my intention, but needless to say, I haven’t been regularly sticking to this schedule for the past year. At best, it has been more of a hit or miss — mostly miss. I do often lament that I used to be so diligent about that for 2 and a half years and how awesome it would be if I could soon return to that level of discipline. Admittedly so, I am to a large extent, relishing this new-found freedom of setting my own work schedule with no obligation to be anywhere at any specific time determined by someone else. For now, I am grateful that it is what it is.
Still, some days, the egoic mind requests an explanation from me. So, I say, perhaps I’m still decompressing after over 22 years of having to always report to the same place at the same designated times with typical constraints and no real freedom to do what I really wanted to do and when I wanted to do it. Now that I have chosen a different field, one as a financial entrepreneur with the freedom of merging my holistic mindfulness training, my hours are truly mine and I am able to help many more people build and realize their dormant dreams, empowering them with the proper resources and mindset techniques, while at the same time honoring who I am and what aligns with me.
So, what’s the problem? Where’s the motivation hiding?
Every day, I feel like I am throwing a continuous tantrum of resistance, yet there’s nothing left to resist. It is as if I were fighting and resisting a shadow, a phantom that has been getting fainter, a residual of the not-so-distant past that is already fading away, but the memory of it all runs my habitual behavior leaving me clueless as to how to shift permanently. Is it really safe to shift? The fact is when do we realize that the tantrum is no longer necessary?
I really need to get out of my own way.
I remain convinced that it was my diligence in following Robin Sharma’s 5 AM Club rules that the universe opened up space for me with a series of necessary events to move me clear across to the other side of the country and eventually supported my immersion into the financial arena as a professional and educator, as well as a mindful entrepreneur field trainer.
For now, I gratefully accept and embrace that “It is what it is.” What I’ve learned in transformation is that this life is about continuously peeling off our old ways and stories to discover at long last who we really are and not who we have pretended to be all this time for someone else.
My ideal day begins with a 20 to 30 minute meditation, followed by drinking 8 ounces of water with George’s Always Active Aloe or cold pressed green juice, then the morning household responsibilities and a huge glass of Ka’chava or a cup of mushroom coffee, while journaling my gratitudes and dreams from the night if I can recall them. This is followed by stretching, light yoga or walking. I then hop on a quick mastermind motivation call with our team and mentor, followed by a Zoom meet for either a financial educational workshop, to train a new business partner or coach clients on mindset and Meridian meditation tools for crafting the life they want.
Throughout the day, I spend an hour reading or listening to a podcast or watch a YouTube video to learn something new. If there are educational seminars, I will attend those. Every week, I participate in personal transformation programs to continue self-development and growth, while working on practicing my new self-image to add financial professional to the mix. Our self-image is the friend or foe that either propels us forward into growth or holds us back into disintegration, respectively (Maxwell Maltz, Psycho Cybernetics).
Self-image is instrumental and essential in how we show up every day. It is what we believe about and how we see ourselves. We become what we picture ourselves to be. We become what we believe about ourselves. Even our behavior is governed by how we see ourselves. The whole world could tell us that we can do whatever we want to do, but if we do not hold an alignment with the self-image that supports it, we do not become that. Our dream turns into unattainable wishful thinking. Self-image is the identity we give ourselves and is tied intimately to self-belief and confidence. Can changes in self-image be accomplished? According to Maxwell Maltz, the answer is yes, it can be done; and like anything else, it takes courage, patience, practice, time and persistence.
Very important questions to ask yourselves are, “If you did not have any obligations or responsibilities of any kind, where would you be and what would you be doing right now?” and “What is your why and do you have a strong why?”
Alternating between quiet reflection and meditation, and practicing our self-image, spending time throughout the day visualizing with strong feeling and emotion, vividly imagining where we want to be in our level of health, financial and emotional abundance and how we want to show up in life for ourselves and for those we care about are all part of our human desire to grow, expand and further express ourselves in this earth school.
At first, I frowned at the realization that this issue turned out longer than any of my other ones. Then, I thought, no, there is no need for any explanations. It is what’s so. The entire process unfolded, conducted itself organically. I took time to observe all that made themselves available to me. I took time to experience the hesitation within and to embrace the creature of habit, while knowing my purpose here was to expand, grow and express myself in different ways. Yes, it is uncomfortable. Is it worth it? Yes, for me it certainly is. I called upon and gathered all my armament of tools I had collected over the years just to make sense of all the new events and to help me navigate as painlessly as possible. I also did not believe in writing for the purpose of writing if I did not have anything meaningful to say.
And so, I interject in this moment of thought and invite you in this space to my mindful financial business.
I was invited by a friend in Jersey to consider serving people in a different way from healthcare, to perhaps combine my personal transformation training with financial health coaching and so those who are reaching out to add business to their current routine but lack the mindset, courage and sense of enoughness to do so, that’s where I come in.
I get to teach people awareness regarding simple basic financial concepts to help individuals navigate this 3-dimensional reality while building our next level of awareness. The topics consist of education in methods of protecting income from our 9-5 job or other sources, to build savings tax-free and inflation-proof, how to make sure we don’t outlive our retirement funds, the right way to build college funding tax-free, how to build a high interest savings account or pension plan and avoid the bank, how to secure a family expense fund in the event life happens unexpectedly to the primary breadwinner, and how to build an effective healthcare fund in the even we need to tap into this source without burdening our families and friends and avoid resorting to crowdfunding methods, such as GoFundMe.
I am also actively involved in training and mentoring highly motivated individuals and families who are eager to establish a passive income business in the financial education field, the majority of whom lack substantial knowledge of how to save and build on their hard-earned money, so that they can open up their yoga, dance or meditation studios, their restaurants, their book or coffee shops, their music and art schools, and the list goes on. Many have shared with me that they have visions and goals that they are truly passionate about pursuing but lack sufficient funds to do so.

Until next time, remember to wake up every morning and immediately think of 5 to 8 aspects of your life for which you are grateful and spend a few minutes really feeling it with intense emotions. You can also feel grateful for events you desire but have not occurred yet just by feeling and acting as though they have already arrived in your life. Before drifting off to sleep, repeat the above to give yourself a head start into the next day, much like setting the dining table in anticipation of a feast. This can be combined with the quotes exercise mentioned earlier or alternated on different days.
And of course, anything you verbalize with intention can be incorporated with the Meridian technique as you access the various points on your head, face and body. (Check out the tutorials on YouTube and TikTok.)
